I need help! I wrote a poem 10 years ago after a friend died in a car accident. I was
in High School at the time and read it at her memorial, left a copy on her grave,
and eventually had it published in an anthology. I've recenlty discovered it being circulated
with a few minor changes (but definilty my peom) and being claimed by two different people,
but one person in particular has proliferated sites with teh poem and her name. Anyway,
I dont' belive there is much I can do adn I'm certainly not looking for anything legal, but
any ideas how I can get teh true story out there? Is there a good forum I should go to?
I appreciate any and all ideas. Oh, and in case you're wondering here is the poem, as originally written:

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God has chosen, you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call.
I turned my back and left it all.

I couldn't stay another day-
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Task left undone must stay that way.
I've now found peace at the end of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh a kiss-
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
Look for the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full. I've savored much-
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all to brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee,
God wanted me now-He set me free.
