Richard's Story (True)

I still remember it well. HE has a plan for us though we don't understand it but need to follow it.

I was working construction, spraying fire proofing on exposed beams and rails. Sometimes the spray splattered on the copper roofing and needed to be cleaned off. On a frosty November morning, I was out cleaning the over spray on the third floor. Some of the plywood showed frost/ice so I stayed away from those areas. But what I thought was a safe place to step turned out to be treated wood. Having no sign of ice I stepped onto it and immediately fell.

I started sliding down the roof with nothing to hang onto. And I thought "This is gonna hurt", mind you this was on the third floor roof. No thought entered my mind that I might die, just "this is gonna hurt".

Then someone told me to turn on my right side and extend my left leg. WHY?......The right leg would miss the block at the edge of the roof by being too straight and the left would catch it by pointing down at an angle. And then the voice said "stand up when you hit the block and grab the cable".

A 1/2 inch cable is strung around the roofs as a "Guard-Rail" for workers. This worked perfectly as in the movies. Just a slide and a catch. But where did the voice come from. No one had seen the slip/fall and it happened too fast for someone to react by shouting to me.

It was then that I realized that one of GOD's Angels was with me and directed me. No one else could have. I believe that an angel from the Lord has saved me many times because HE has a plan for me. I have to direct others into His light.

Someone who belives that the Lord directs and holds all things.
